How long does it take to download a product?
It is difficult to determine the exact amount of time it may take to download a file. Many factors can affect the download speed, such as connection type and network traffic. Here are some example estimated download times:

How does Purchase and Download work?
- Add the download version of the software you want to your shopping cart.
- After completing the purchase, you will see the download link that takes you to the Akamai Download Manager. You can download your product immediately or at a later time.
- You may be prompted to accept ActiveX® controls and certificates from Akamai Technologies when you install the Akamai Download Manager.
How do I download software?
- Follow the link to download your products from the confirmation page of your order.
- On your downloads page, locate the product you wish to download and click the Download button to begin downloading.
- If you have not yet installed the Akamai Download Manager, you may be prompted to accept ActiveX controls and certificates from Akamai Technologies and then install the Download Manager.
- With many web browsers, a Save As dialog box appears. Save the file to the desktop by choosing Desktop from the menu. If you are not prompted to save a file, the file will be saved to your default download folder.
- After you download the file, you may need to double-click the file if installation does not start automatically.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
How do I get my serial number?
After you complete your order, you will receive an e-mail that includes your serial number. You can also view your serial number at any time in the Download Manager, next to your product download link.
